Why is it free? Because we need your brain.
We aren't just handing you a login and walking away. During the Alpha phase, we act as an extension of your team. For the first few weeks, we want to virtually "look over your shoulder."
We'll watch how you interact with the platform, review the AI's drafts with you, and understand your specific credit control headaches. You get a bespoke, highly-tuned AI credit controller for free. We get the insights we need to build the perfect product.
A few things people ask
How long does the free Alpha last?
We base it on milestones, not strict dates. Typically it lasts 4 to 8 weeks while we finalize the core feature set. We'll give you plenty of notice before transitioning to the £49 rate.
How much time will this take from me?
During the first two weeks, we'll ask for a bit more feedback than a standard SaaS app-perhaps a short weekly review call. However, the time you save by letting Balancr draft your chasers and read your replies will heavily outweigh the time spent giving us feedback.
What happens after the 6 months at £49?
When Balancr moves to full launch pricing (£149/mo), your rate stays locked at £49 for your first 6 months post-Alpha. After that, we'll transition you to the standard rate, but as a founding partner, you'll always be the last to feel price changes and the first to know.
Does Balancr send emails automatically?
No. Every email - including routine due date reminders and nudge emails - requires human approval before it sends. Balancr batches these up for quick review, so it's low friction, but nothing ever leaves without someone signing off on it. The AI drafts. You decide.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Everything is yours. Balancr reads from Xero but doesn't modify your accounting data. If you cancel, you revoke the Xero connection and everything in our system can be deleted on request.
Do I need to be on a specific Xero plan?
Balancr works with any paid Xero subscription. It uses Xero's standard OAuth connection - the same method used by other Xero-connected apps.
